CBSE going autonomous soon
The ministry of human resource department is going to convert the board of premier school to a statutory body and final decision will be taken after consulting with the experts. If all goes in the right direction then CBSE will become the first board in the country which will be established by an act of Parliament. The board will get more freedom and will achieve excellence after the passing of the bill.
Till now CBSE acts as a registered society whose main concerned is conducting the board exam and announcing the result of the students. But after this CBSE will become a statutory board having more important work to do. Now, CBSE just obeys the rules of human resource department and is not free to take their own decisions but this bill will help them to take their own decisions. Board will still perform the task of conducting the exam but also affiliate the schools in India as well as in abroad.
The new bill will increase the financial status of board as well. The board will recommend books for study and will set up new rules for the regulation of teachers and students. After becoming the statutory body the orders of board will have more impact. The board will have the authority to prescribe new courses for the institutions. The teachers will be appointed only after fulfilling the qualification criteria of the board. So the board will have more authority and will be more responsible for the education status of the country.
